Music is a "participation" type of program.
Students attendance is expected, both in class and at events, in order to grade their efforts. The following is the policy for absences from class:
- Students will write one paragraph (per day missed) with factual information about a musician of their choosing. Each day missed requires a new paragraph about a new musician. All submissions will be saved and repeats will not be accepted.
- Submission should be done through email to khunziker@ellsaline.org. A minimum of 4 sentences is required, spelling and punctuation count towards the overall grade.
- Students will not be reminded to do this work. Failure to complete the submission will result in a daily score of zero.
Due date requirements:
If absent due to illness or non-school activity: Due by end of the school day student returns to school.
Planned absence (such as vacation): Due prior to student being absent from school.
