Middle School Lady Cards Win 3rd Place

Heart of America Basketball Tournament

      The Middle School Lady Cardinal basketball team won third place during the Heart of America league basketball tournament on February 11, 2010.  This victory elevated the Lady Cardinal season record to 13 wins and 3 losses.  They defeated Hutchinson Trinity by a score of 26 to 22.  Sesely Omli led all scorers with nine points; Paige Johnson put in seven points; Danielle Sprinkle added six points; while both Darby Wikoff and Baily Goddard contributed two points.  Coach Erin Marshall commented on the win:  “This victory was well-deserved.  These girls have put in hard work at every game and practice and have exceeded the expectations of everyone this year.”  The Lady Cards also finished second in the overall regular season.  Marshall summed up:  “We appreciate the support of the girls throughout this season and I am extremely proud of them.”
