Nathan Burgess, K-6 Physical Education Teacher at Ell-Saline Elementary, has taught for 12 years. Mr. Burgess started his teacher career here at Ell-Saline in 2011, after graduating Fort Hays State University with a bachelors degree in Health and Human Performance, with an emphasis on K-12 Physical Education. He also received his masters degree through Fort Hays State University in 2017. Throughout his teaching career, Mr. Burgess has been honored as the Top Jump Rope for Heart in 2012-2013. He was named the KAHPERD Young Professional of the Year in 2015, as well as the KAHPERD Jump Rope/Hoops for Heart Combo Event Coordinator of the Year in 2016. Mr. Burgess has been happily married to his wife Kelsey for 12 years, and has two children, Kinley and Kyron.
