Amy Brandt is the general music teacher at Ell-Saline Elementary. She graduated from Greenville College in Illinois with a Bachelor’s in Music Education. Her first teaching position was in Dighton, teaching K-12 Vocal Music, where she taught for four years. Then in 2009, she began teaching music at Ell-Saline Elementary. During the summers Miss Brandt enjoys playing her French Horn in the Salina Municipal Band and is the past president of the band board. In past years Miss Brandt has sung in the Messiah Festival with the Bethany Oratorio Society. She also directs the choir at her church, First Baptist, on the weekends. She is a member of the Kansas Orff Chapter and collaborates with other music teachers from across the state. Miss Brandt encourages students to get involved in community groups such as Salina Youth Choir and North Central KMEA Honor Choir just to name a few. Miss Brandt loves teaching and sharing music with her students and is working continually to build a love of playing, singing, creating and moving to music.
