My name is Stacey Scritchfield. I have 3 children, Garrett, Niccolette, and Tara. I also have several grandchildren whom I call “My Littles”. My family is my source of strength. We spend a great deal of time together, having adventures, and making memories!


I work for Central Kansas Cooperative in Education in Salina. I am housed at Ell-Saline where I am the high school special education teacher. I started in the field of education as a para educator in western Kansas. I then gained my Bachelors degree in elementary through Fort Hays State and continued at Fort Hays State while receiving my Master’s in Special Education in 1999. I have been blessed to teach at Palco/Damar, Great Bend/Ellinwood/Claflin, Wilson, Little River, and Ell-Saline. This is my 20th year of teaching. I love working with children and young adults.


Recently I completed work through Northcentral University in Arizona, for my Education Specialist Degree. This is phase 1 of a two phase journey to complete my doctorate in special education. With this completed I hope to increase positive strategies, techniques, and management to support students within the educational system. As I age and am unable to ‘keep the pace’ within the secondary level, my goal is to instruct those wanting to become educators, especially in the area of special education.


I have also had many years of coaching experience, mostly in volleyball, but also junior high basketball and high school track. My philosophy for teaching and coaching is to support students to become strong and independent individuals that strive to reach their dreams.


Working with the students and staff at Ell-Saline High School is a wonderful experience, daily. It is an environment that is about the students, not only in the classroom, but in extra curricular activities and events. The students and staff have positive relationships that support and encourage the students to grow and work hard to achieve their goals.
